Where do I start? If you know anything about me, you know that I love food. I have always enjoyed eating, which seems to be there reason I can't lose the 20 lbs I need to. I am not your typical foodie looking to critique and criticize everything I eat but the type of person that appreciates and values good food, good environment and good service. If you are friends with me on Facebook you will notice that I have more pictures of food than I do of my wife or people for that matter.
I don't know when my passion for food began but I was always willing to try anything once and I loved trying new types of food. I wouldn't say that my family branched away from the traditional family meal of pasta, pork chops, chicken and tacos but I did enjoy my mothers cooking which may have been the start of my appreciation for food.
My wife, Mariah, was an extension for my passion for food. She, too, enjoys great food and has a burning desire to be a great chef. She started cooking tasty treats for me and I loved every single delicious bite. Mariah is an artist in the kitchen. I swear her feet don't touch the floor as she glides through the kitchen putting together her simple ingredients to create her amazing masterpiece. Mariah was the catalyst for taking my food appreciation to the next level. She not only likes food, like myself, but her passion is to create food and and an experience. If you follow this blog at all, you will get to see Mariah's creations and maybe I will get her to share a recipe with you.
So why did I start this blog? It's definitely not that I am a writer, a chef or even a qualified food critic by any means. I am starting this blog because I am looking for an outlet to share my experiences with food, whether it is at a fine dining restaurant, a little known eatery or a night in enjoying one of Mariah's creations at my kitchen table. I have been encouraged to take my food passion beyond the small audience of my Facebook and to start a blog.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog. It is you, the reader, that will keep me writing and exploring this blogging concept. As much as I love eating food, I love meeting new people and sharing experiences with them. This is why I am blogging and I hope that you enjoy it.
